A good friend, and the talented artist behind RawToastDesigns enlightened me recently about how easy it is to support your local community these days. As we both live, work and play in New York, using our personal talents to help support a community that supports us is always near and dear to our hearts (see The {NewNew} crafting for a cause at the Maker Fair for a case in point ).
