Weeekend Sewing or who's Laboring on Labor day

Sometimes is is just so hard to juggle everything!

Between having a full time job, a silkscreened tshirt business, leading a wonderful group of 150 small handmade businesses in the tri state area as we try to grow our businesses, as well as planning events like our Fall Fashion A La Mode at Brooklyn Indie Market, Charity Crafting at the Maker Faire, Crafts in Chelsea in October, preparing for the Union Holiday Market, Atlantic Antic and the holidays in general! It's hard to have the time to sit down and enjoy being creative. And i know this sounds odd, but sometimes i have to actually schedule it in. And labor day weekend proved to be the best time to set aside some me time - get off the computer and work on some patterns that have been in development for the past couple of months and get them into production for the Fall (which, um, is now!)

I spent most of Monday drafting patterns, silkscreening and cutting fabric in preparation for some new designs for Fall. What fun it was, i tried not to go too overboard in terms of patterns, as i want to introduce three new designs for Fall - not 30 :) SO look for skirt, shirt and dress coming soon!
